Unsolved Report is an independent, evidence-first archive of history's unexplained mysteries, founded and edited by Elliot Marsh — started out of a long fascination with the cases where the documented record genuinely runs out, and a frustration with how often the internet blurs fact and fantasy.

How we work

Every case file starts from the primary and reputable secondary record — universities, museums, official inquiries, declassified files, and peer-reviewed research — cited inline so you can verify it yourself. Where historians and scientists genuinely disagree, we say so plainly, and we never dress up a guess as a fact. Our full sourcing standard is on the Editorial Standards page.
