Privacy Policy
Who we are
Unsolved Report (unsolvedreport.com) publishes evidence-first stories about historical mysteries. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Email — only if you subscribe to our newsletter. We store it to send you our updates.
- Comments — the name and text you submit are stored and, once reviewed, shown publicly with your comment.
- Usage data — like most sites, we use Google Analytics and our host (Cloudflare) to understand traffic (pages viewed, approximate location, device, referrer). This may include your IP address and cookies or similar identifiers.
- Advertising — we use Google AdSense, which may set cookies and use identifiers to show and measure ads.
How we use it
To deliver the newsletter, publish and moderate comments, understand and improve the site, and display advertising that helps fund it. We do not sell your personal data.
Third parties
We rely on Google (Analytics and AdSense) and Cloudflare (hosting and email storage). Their use of data is governed by their own policies — see Google's Privacy Policy and "How Google uses information from sites that use our services" (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
Cookies and your choices
Analytics and advertising cookies are used as described above. Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent choice. You can clear or block cookies in your browser. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email, or by contacting us to remove your data.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; the current version always lives on this page.
